Sis comments that “Jim Parks was a good friend of Hal Totten, who lived next door. Dot liked Jim a lot—he was sort of quiet at times and a nice guy. She went to the Prom with him. He was over [at the house] quite a bit and, a lot of times, Hal came along.”

My mom writes that Jim Parks' birthday was April 13, 1928 (three days after hers), and that Jim's favorite songs were Our Waltz, Together, and Always. She adds:

“First time Jim kissed me was whle we were dancing in the dark to Our Waltz.”

Jim lived at 6521 S. Normal Blvd., which was about five blocks south of Dot.
