| Karson's restaurant first appears in the diary on April 21st. It apparently was a little more upscale than Parnell or the Minuet Grill. Karson's was open late, and had some tasty pie, barbecue beef, and Chicken Club sandwiches.
Sis:
“Karson's restaurant, next to the Stratford, was a great restaurant but a little expensive for us (unless our dates paid).”
Note: There is a Karson's Restaurant & Pancake House on 95th Street in the southwest suburb of Evergreen Park; I don't know if there's any relation. The well-known Carson's (with-a-"C") Ribs didn't exist in 1945.
